Tank Depot Europoort holds the ‘High Threshold’ classification under the Seveso directives, implemented in the Netherlands through the BRZO regime. We comply with all legal and environmental permit requirements and are regularly inspected by authorities multiple times a year. Our investments in safety and service improvements are focused on protecting both our employees and the surrounding environment. These measures include foam extinguishing systems for flammable and toxic liquids, elevated concrete platforms and water curtain systems for gas storage.
Expertise in emergencies
Despite high safety standards, emergencies can still occur. In such cases, we are equipped to act effectively. All staff are trained in hazardous substance risks, and a select group of ‘first responders’.These trained professionals are authorised to operate extinguishing systems and trained to use breathing apparatus. With this expertise and equipment, we can ensure safety even in the most challenging situations.
